An Irish support scheme for renewable heat is an Irish Government funded initiative designed to increase renewable energy generation.
Its primary objective is to increase the level of renewable energy in the heat sector. The scheme consists of an installation grant and on going operational support in the form of a tariff. The tariff will be available to successful applicants for a period of 15 years. The scheme now also covers such technologies as biomass boilers, biomass HE CHP heating systems and Biogas (AD) technologies.
